Another walk along the Erewash Canal today. This was heading North.
Reached as far as Stanton By Dale and then headed back along the same route.
The problem with walking along a canal with plans to head back the same way rather than finding a circular route is that you keep thinking “oh, just a bit further, let’s see what is around that next bend!!”.
It was a very nice walk. Not as warm as it has been the last couple of days and it did try to rain for a few minutes, but now all the bushes and trees are showing signs of shooting it looks very nice along the canal.
I must remember not to go this way on Monday as there are signs up to say the bridge over the railway line will be closed. Perhaps I’ll have to go back on Tuesday to see what they’ve done.
